Michael Cacciatore is a dissertator in the Department of Life Sciences Communication and currently works as a project assistant for the NSF-funded Center for Nanotechnology in Society based out of Arizona State University. His research centers on the intersection of science, communication and politics with an emphasis on public science attitudes and risk communication for emerging scientific issues.

Michael has been published in Public Understanding of ScienceNew Media & SocietyPolitics and the Life SciencesEnergy Policy, and Nanotoxicology. He is also an experienced teacher, having taught the department’s introductory communication course and served as a teaching assistant for courses in risk communication and strategic communication campaigns.
