About CNS-ASU

Derrick Anderson

Research Intern, Center for Nanotechnology in Society

Derrick’s original interests in CNS were stimulated by his curiosity in the implications of nanotechnology on human health and health care systems. Since joining CNS, his research has focused on creating a catalogue of governance activities regarding nanotechnology and a process to follow these activities. Derrick is a political science major and plans to graduate in May 2008 and begin medical school that fall. Prior to CNS, Derrick worked at the Arizona Back Institute, where he helped patients improve the health of their spines and taught them the importance of maintaining healthy backs. Derrick and his wife, Summer, enjoy traveling, sports and the outdoors.
